2018 Ford F-450 Super Duty – Review

Last year Ford has launched a new Super Duty Series. F-450 was in charge to fill up the gap between F-350 and F-650 Series and it did a pretty good job. With refreshed design and improved towing capacity, it has drawn a lot of attention. New 2018 Ford F-450 that will arrive by the end of this year will not bring any bigger change however it might come with improved performance. Namely, Ford is planning to reach that magic figure of 1000 lb-ft of torque and new F-450 might be the first truck that will offer this kind of power.

Based on the latest information under the hood of the new 2018 Ford F-450 will be well known 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine. So far this mill delivered 440 horsepower and 925 pound-feet of torque. However, this figures could be even more impressive. The engine will be paired to a six-speed TorqShift auto gearbox and four-wheel drive will come as standard. The maximal payload capacity is 5, 300 pounds while the towing capacity can reach amazingly 35, 500 pounds if the gooseneck trailer is used.

Exterior and interior won’t be changed at all. The last year model suffered major changes and that is why ford decided to keep the same look with the new F-450. Standard features like automatic headlights, dual-zone climate control, and the running board will be present inside the cabin with all trim models.
