2018 Chevy Avalanche Review, Price

After its debut over ten years ago, back in 2001, the Chevy Avalanche’s production was discontinued in 2013, after depicting low sales. General Motors’ concept of the 2018 Chevy Avalanche back then was quite unique and made it stand out from her competitors. It was a humongous pick-up truck that had been constructed on the chassis of a mid-size SUV.

It was, however, short-lived hence the discontinuation of its production. However, rumour has it that GM will be bringing back the Avalanche as a whole new concept and a new design and makeover, as a 2018 Chevy Avalanche which will be hitting the market in a mid or last quarter of 2017. Here is what to expect from the reborn and all new Chevrolet Avalanche.

2018 Chevy Avalanche – Exterior Body Changes and Interior Cabin Design

The 2018 Chevy Avalanche will have a completely new body shape and outlook with a touch of modern and trendy modifications. The rear design and bed will also get a makeover but its bed is bound to remain as a small size. Generally, the Avalanche will remain a huge SUV truck with an extension at the back. Because of this concept, it has been difficult to classify the Avalanche as a pick-up, a truck or an SUV.

From the front, GM has fitted it with modern LED lights that give the Avalanche an aggressive but eye-catching look. It will also come with a new look front grill and a huge front bumper. It will be riding on p265/70r tires, of either 17 or 18 inches which complement the car’s huge body size.

The 2018 Chevy Avalanche will also come with a new look from the rear with larger and better-LED tail lights and a bigger and shinier rear bumper. Although the bed will not be made bigger it will still have enough space to accommodate a considerable amount of luggage. From the exterior, GM has given the Avalanche one of the most attractive makeovers the model has ever had.

The 2018 Chevy Avalanche will come with an all leather interior and enough space to comfortably seat six passengers with an array of features that will make the cabin enjoyable. GM has incorporated new technology features including a huge LCD navigation touchscreen, climate control, stability control, parking sensors, lane departure warning system, and traction control, intelligent braking and blind spot warning.

Safety features have also been upgraded with the incorporation of safety bags all around the passenger sitting areas. An array of controls and buttons has been fitted on the steering wheel and on the dashboard that makes it easy for the driver when driving.

2018 Chevy Avalanche – Modification under the Hood

GM intends to fit the new 2018 Avalanche with a new engine. Under the hood, it will come with a 5.3-liter V8 engine that will have a power output of over 355 hp and over 400 ft of torque. Rumour has it that GM will produce more engine options in the future and even a possible hybrid model.

With a ten speed transmission, the engine will be capable of propelling the truck from 0-60 mph in under 6 seconds, which is quite impressive for a car its size. It will be capable of reaching a maximum speed of 125 mph.

Fuel economy has also been put into consideration, with the 2018 Chevy Avalanche being capable of consuming just 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the freeway.

2018 Chevy Avalanche – Expected Date of Arrival and Price

The Avalanche will cost between $32000-$40000. GM is still sceptical on the release date but rumour has it that the Chevy Avalanche 2018 will be in a dealer next to you by the beginning of the mid-quarter of 2017. It is definitely a machine worth considering.
