The brand new 2017 Titan XD will be powered by a beast of an engine. Under the hood, we will get to see a 5.0 liters turbo diesel V8 unit from none other than Cummins. No wonder this engine is being deemed to be a very powerful one as it pumps out nearly 310 hp 3200 rpm along with 555 lb-ft of torque 1600 rpm. Power will be transmitted via an Aisin six speed automatic gearbox. Towing capacity of this engine has been rated at slightly above 12000 pounds. This truck runs on an option of 17 inch, 18 inch or 20 inch wheels. The drive system is AWD. The smaller version of Titan XD, which is called Titan, will come with a V6 engine. The fuel efficiency of the Cummins engine is going to have an EPA rating of 22 mpg combined.
