L200 model is manufactured by the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors since 1978. The compact pickup truck 2017 Mitsubishi L200 will be the fifth generation version manufactured by the company. The 2017 version was first displayed at Geneva Auto Show during 2015. This vehicle is known by many names viz. Triton, Strada, Sportero and Hunter in different parts of the world. The 2017 Mitsubishi L200 is expected to come up with two engine options. Lower end models may have 2.4 liter MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic control System) 4 cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of producing 151 HP and a torque of 280 pound-feet. Higher end models will be equipped with 2.4 liter, 4 cylinders turbocharged diesel engine. Power output of the turbocharged engine is around 178 HP with 317 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle will be available with six speed manual or five speed automatic transmissions, and it will be available in all wheel drive option only. The new L200 version will be more environment friendly than its previous models, because Carbon dioxide emission is lesser in newer models. Carbon dioxide emission will be reduced from 199 g/km to 169 g/km. The fuel economy of this vehicle is expected to be better than previous versions because of its lower weight. EPA of Mitsubishi L200 is rated at 32 mpg in city and 35 mpg in highway.

Exact release date and price of 2017 L200 has not been released still now. The 2017 Mitsubishi L200 is expected to be released at 2016 end. The Base model will start from approximately $25,000.
