Originally presented back in 2006 as a concept at the Chicago Auto Show, the Dodge Rampage is set to be the first car that will be released based on the project, which started in 2006. For the upcoming model year, the luxury car brand is planning to lend a very modern and one of a kind look for its heavy duty pickup truck. While this model may not look completely different than its previous version, it does have a lot of improvements when it comes to performance, fuel economy and overall appearance. This coming of age pickup truck is expected to work wonders for the car brand.
Dodge Rampage: Redesign Exterior and Interior
The first thing one is bound to notice in Dodge Rampage is how this seemingly good looking pickup vehicle, doesn’t quite look like a truck at all! Its luxury components have been elevated by a 60-side crossbar grille on the front and newly designed headlights with LED. There are muscular looking double flare fenders that increase this vehicle’s aggressiveness quotient. It has acquired a more aerodynamic shape, which promises better handling and maneuvering. There will be sliding doors at the rear, which will let you access the car more easily.
This seven seater pickup truck will be able to seat all its passengers comfortably and have enough cargo space to keep everyone happy. Its last two rear seats can be folded to allow for additional carriage space in case the load gets too heavy to handle. Its seats will be made of high quality materials and have lots of cabin space for comfortable rides every time. There is a peculiar, yet useful Stow ‘n’ Go feature that allow slinging down passenger seats on the floor of its cabin.
Technological equipments would likely include a functional dashboard with LCD touch screen that you can use to control Navigation, cruise control, and various other safety features. There will be a top of the line audio system along with wireless connectivity solutions such as Bluetooth and USB ports.
Dodge Rampage: Engine Specs
The upcoming Dodge Rampage will be packed with very powerful features under its hood. The official information says that its engine will be a 5.7 liter V8 HEMI unit capable of producing up to 345 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. It will most likely be mated to a 5-speed auto transmission unit with fuel consumption rate of between 15 and 18 mpg on average. Dodge aims to prove those people wrong who think that auto transmission gearbox systems do not match up to expected performance standards. This powerful engine would be able to power the Dodge Rampage through the toughest of terrains with utmost ease and comfort.
Dodge Rampage: Release Date and Price
The upcoming Dodge Rampage will likely cost between $ 30 000 and $ 40 000 depending on trim models. There is no official information available yet regarding its date of release, but we expect it to arrive in the early part of 2016. Dodge themselves must be excited as we are about this long awaited release.
